Description
My parents named me after the Olympian Kieren Perkins, who dominated the 1500-metre freestyle in 1992. Determined not to let the side down, I learned to swim...but I wont be winning gold any time soon. Anyway, a little about me I love my coffee, red wine and good food. But my main love has always and will always be photography (delicious wedding catering is just a bonus!). In 2015, I studied photography at university and fell in love with the craft. About a year later I attended a wedding photography workshop, which is where my passion for unique wedding photography was ignited. I fell in love with telling love stories and from that point on, I knew I would be doing it for the rest of my life. I founded Rexvil Photography in 2016 with the ambition of capturing wedding day memories for people who cherish precious moments with their loved ones as much as I do. Our name was inspired by family, as Rexvil is the combination of my grandfathers names: one who is still with us today named Rex, and my other grandfather, Colvil, who left us in 2006. In 2018, I became a recognised professional photographer through the AIPP and continue to grow and learn while doing what I love.Aside from photography, I love keeping our lawns lush and pruning our roses every summer. Spending time with my family makes me happy and fulfilled. I can't get enough of drenching Lumos (our white furry pooch) with the garden hose or flying our daughter Violet around the house like a giggling aeroplane. I seem to spend more time cleaning my cars than driving them...but for some reason I really enjoy this. I also adore my daily routine of waking up at 5:30am and exercising. The rest of the house categorically do not adore this, as I never fail to wake them up with the coffee machine every morning. On a more serious note, I'm so lucky to have Michelle as my wife. She supports me in everything I do and shares my enthusiasm and dreams for Australian wedding photography. She isn't afraid to tell me if something sucks or point out where I can improve. Most importantly, she's always up to celebrate the small things. Happiness is about the journey, not just the destination; I couldnt be happier to have Michelle by my side.
