Description
This journey started with a little inspiration from one of the most influential people in my life. My mum used to be basically "the family photographer". If someone was getting married, having a christening or a birthday, she was there with her camera documenting everything. It was not her fulltime job, but I know it was always her passion. I grew up seeing these images and knew that someday I would take matters into my own hands. In 2006, I purchased my first camera. I saved and got a little Sony Cybershot, and when mum would go to work, I would turn her bedroom into my photography studio. I would unpack our old curtains and used them as backdrops, and with an exclusive group of models (my cousins and friends), I would have the most epic afternoons photographing portraits and making up stories in my head of how one day I would be able to do this as my job. It was never a matter of if this might happen; it was a matter of when. I moved to Australia from South America 10 years ago. I sold my earthly possesions back home and decided to study photography in Melbourne. Three years later, I moved to Adelaide to do a Masters Degree in Business Administration, met my husband, and the rest is history. After adjusting to the shops closing at 5 PM on the weekends, I decided to call Adelaide my home. You probably want to know how I got into wedding photography, right? Well, I started my career in documentary photography. I began documenting international projects in NYC and Shanghai and was fortunate enough to exhibit my work in both places and Melbourne. I was just fascinated by human interaction and how you can tell an entire story by only using still frames; that still blows my mind!; it's like how on earth you can freeze and capture emotion in one tiny little frame and how that same frame can make you laugh or cry when you look back at it?. In between projects, friends and their families started getting married, and here we are. 8 years later, and every day I feel more passion for what I do. I feel this is not just a job. It is my mission in life to create art with you every day. On a more personal note, I am not an "invasive" kind of photographer or person really. I am approachable and receptive. Also, I am a huge animal lover. I have two dogs (Bentley and Oliver) and two cats (Luna and Twist) as part of my family. I am married to a beautiful man named Luis, and in 2020 we welcomed our gorgeous little man into our lives; we called him Noah. Now, I want to know about you and your partner. So please go to the contact form, share with me your vision and spare no detail!. We can chat more over the phone or during a coffee date. Your wedding is going to be epic; we are going to have so much fun!
