Together John Gabel and Amy Hage are Tabel Catering. Both are award-winning chefs with decades of experience in restaurants and catering, committed to providing fantastic food and great service. They pride themselves on making as much as possible in-house using the freshest, seasonal and local produce. John Gabel - My grandmother taught me to cook when I was young on weekends wed make cakes and traditional dishes from her German heritage. From there I decided to make it my career, learning from some of the best in the industry. Ive worked in kitchens all over Adelaide gaining skills and experience, honing my own style simple, honest and generous food that satisfies. Even after all these years, Im still learning and enjoy every day in the kitchen where I get to prepare great food for people who love to eat. Amy Hage - When I was a child, my mother cooked simple, honest, hearty meals but I longed for something creative, new, innovative and exciting. My food is a modern interpretation of those old school classics, the best of both worlds. I love to share food and get so much enjoyment from cooking for others I love to see the enjoyment that good food brings and I love to enjoy other peoples food too. I grow some of my own food at home and am teaching my two young girls that good food doesnt need to be complicated its about using quality ingredients with skill. Sounds simple doesnt it!
