I love photographing and interacting with families in the process of making beautiful images. Each family member, regardless of age, has a personality that I aim to capture. So many of our relationships and moments in time are expressed with photographs. ‘A good photograph really does paint a thousand words’.Viewing the images for the first time after a photo session still holds magic for me, like opening Christmas gifts…always exciting! I see excited families when they also see their photos for the first time. Many families return for portrait updates, particularly as their children grow and change over the years. And sometimes a new home or pet has become part of the picture. Whatever develops, it is always a joy for me to reconnect with clients to provide new images they will value.In recent times, a lot of positive things have changed with camera technology too. For example, the latest mirrorless camera gear adds so much more detail and depth to every image. Wow! I am so impressed at every shoot.Now sophisticated professional labs can receive my images and reproduce them onto exquisite acrylic or canvas mounted artworks, as well as high quality family albums, and more.Of course, the best photographs are the desired outcome, but the whole photographic experience is very important too. I aim to take creative, interesting, pleasing and emotionally moving images that my clients remember with delight.
