I have a passion for baking and art! So whenever I get the opportunity to combine the two I'm in my element.

Hi, my name is Helen Hatzaras, I'm the Director/owner and Cake Artist of Blissful Inspirations Cakes. I started my venture into baking cakes and sweets in my mother's kitchen at a very early age. She taught me all I needed to know about baking all our traditional Greek sweets.

I was so drawn to baking that I started in my early teens baking all the family's birthday cakes using the now Vintage Edition of the Australian Women's Weekly Children's Birthday Cake Book. From here there was no stopping me. I began making cheesecakes, pavlova's, cupcakes, apple pies, and more! I was the go-to person in my family and friends for making their cakes.

After years of baking for family and friends who constantly encouraged me to do this as a profession, I took the plunge at the end of 2016, I quit my full-time corporate career to pursue a life-long dream! Hence my baking journey began.

Since Blissful Inspirations Cakes' inception, I have been so honored and proud to have been awarded numerous awards from the Australian Cake Decorating Network, Royal Melbourne Show, Melbourne's Bake & Sweets Show, and just recently have officially been announced as a finalist for the 2020 Annual Bridal Industry Awards!
