Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses has always been and still is a family owned and operated business. We have a long & proud history dating back to the 1800's. Both the Ferguson & Plarre Families have early European roots and we established ourselves in Australia over 110 years ago.Otto Plarre begins travelling all over Europe, from Germany to England then to France working with pastrycooks for periods of a few months at a time, thereby gaining a great deal of theoretical and practical experience. His employers included The Anglo-Austrian Confectionary Company of London and George & Co. of Reading. He spent two years working closely with French & Viennese Pastrycooks, honing his patisserie skills.
