Description
Hey! I'm Tahnee Jade, and I'm a wedding photographer born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. At 20 years young, I purchased my first 'fancy camera' with the burning desire to take a few great photos. A few turned into a few thousand, and after a cocktail of photography workshops, practice, and research into my craft, a friend of mine popped the question, "Will you photograph my wedding?" My answer could not be more direct: "Hell nooo!" I was terrified.
But thanks to the bride-to-be's faith in my skills, plus her persistence and charisma, I had my wedding photography baptism-of-fire at a Greek-Australian wedding for 300 people. After the last guest strayed away from treading the Zorba on the dance floor, I realized I was hooked on weddings. Wedding photography was what I wanted to do from that moment on.
I love that wedding photography holds a sacred historical place in the family's life. Wedding photos and albums are perhaps one of the most cherished forms of photography and are brought out by families for generations to come. Alongside my love for wedding photography, I love capturing architecture and traveling to far-flung places to capture life just as it is. I have strolled the Great Wall of China, sipped tequila in Mexico (okay, maybe not sipped), sat on the edge of the Grand Canyon, roamed the streets of Morocco, and of course, there was Vegas . . . My photos tell the stories of my travels, and exploring the world amplifies the way I view life and art. I am in love with my craft.
