Bec Bakes

Bec has always had a passion for baking although never thought she would have been working from her own studio just after turning 25. Loving everything sweet from a young age, Bec was always baking with friends whenever she got the chance. Doing a Wedding Cake Course in Year 10 showed her skills as a young cake decorator which she believes led her to become one of the top students of the state in Hospitality during year 12. Following a different path after year 12, Bec studied a Media Degree at the University of Wollongong although decided after just over a year it wasn't for her and took off to travel the world. Starting in New York she worked at a Summer Camp and travelled the East Coast of America, later ending up in London where she working as an Au Pair. Upon her arrival home she secured a corporate position where she continued to travel around Australia, and the world, while maintaining a small cake business on the side know as 'Baking Beccy' which she began during her studies. Eventually her passion for 'caking' became her focus and she took the leap into her own full time business. 'Baking Beccy' had grown up and became 'Bec Bakes' in 2016. Now with dozens of cakes going out the door each week Bec continues to go from strength to strength. Bec is continuing to grow with some very exciting plans for the future. Watch this space!
