Description
Hi! I'm Lisa, florist and owner of Daisy Hill Flowers in South Perth. In 2017 the opportunity came to follow a long-held passion for flowers and open Daisy Hill Flowers. I love what I do. As most florists will say, its hard work, my hands are a little worse for wear, and we deal with nature so its unpredictable but seeing the joy flowers bring makes it all worthwhile. Why a home studio? As well as flexibility and hopefully a better work/life balance, our dogs are here! Max was with me at the start, and now we have little Sunny (quality inspector, recycling, HR) & our newest addition, Hunter (just learning the ropes). Plus it saves our garden from being re-landscaped. As my favourite flower seems to change each time something new comes into season, each bouquet and arrangement is a little different. Having been involved in running small businesses for many years, I understand firsthand why support from the local community is so important. As much as possible, the flowers we use are grown here in WA, supporting our local growers.Thank you for visiting. Looking forward to providing something beautiful for you and your loved ones! Grateful for what nature provides, our aim is to do as little harm to our world and environment as possible. We use paper wrap, string/twine ties, vases that can be reused or recycled and wherever possible and keep plastic use to a minimum. We recycle all plastic and cardboard wrap & packaging, all green waste becomes compost and are careful with our water consumption. We use floral foam minimally but happy to report new products are now available with enhanced biodegradability that will break down completely.Bouquets for delivery & weddings are kept hydrated using either water pouches or Eco Fresh bouquet eco-wraps which are 100% plant composition, compostable, biodegradable, reusable and recyclable.
