Description
Rosalind is a Cordon Bleu-trained chef with over thirty years professional culinary experience. Her passion for good food began in the West Country of England, where her mother instilled in her a love for delicious, fresh home cooking. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu London, she worked as Head Chef for the prestigious Mustard Catering London, with clients including Lady Elizabeth Hanson, cousin to the Queen, and David Frost (who required a treacle tart, which he took with him back to New York on the Concorde - as one does). Also in London, Rosalind opened 'The Pantry' Waterloo, one of the first made-to-order sandwich bars in town, as owner and chef. After moving to Australia in 1987, she spent another five years with Mustard Catering as head of the pastry and dessert departments before opening her own Pier St Cafe, serving breakfast and lunch to city workers and providing corporate catering. Along the way she has also worked at Vans Cottesloe as Head of Baking and Head of Catering. She was later part of the team at Angelo St Gourmet Butchers, South Perth, supplying pies, pasties, lasagne and more.
