Since being born into a family with parents that ran a highly successful Hotel business, it seemed inevitable that Natalie would be drawn to a life long passion for food and entertaining.Long before the dream of Function Concepts became a reality, Natalie served as Marketing Manager and Function Coordinator with Showbusiness Australia. Her role of managing public relations, radio segments and advertising for promotions saw her taking care of some of the big stars of show business at the time; including an Australian tour by Kylie Minogue back in 1991. Her experience in this industry was further enhanced when moving to Entertainment Enterprises where she managed and coordinated functions at five of its venues.With her experience and reputation as a successful function manager growing, Natalie was soon off to Sydney to take up her role with Unicorp as their new Promotions and Functions Manager. This was later followed by a move to highly renowned Perth restaurant LENOX where her specialisation with weddings and function management was the foundation behind which Function Concepts arose.With her integrity and experience now well established within the function management and catering industry, it was now time for Natalie to expand into her own business venture to bring a passion for food and love of service and innovative event management into reality. Hence in 1999 Function Concepts was born, which provided an opportunity to service Perth with a high quality catering and function management business.In 2010 a new business venture was added to Natalie’s resume with the opening of a shop front retail business called “Nat’s Kitchen” on Cambridge Street, Wembley. This new aspect of Natalie’s business allowed her become part of the wonderful community of Wembley but to showcase her amazing food direct to the public as well as expand her experience into high demand areas such as High Teas, Corporate catering and Kid’s cooking classes and weddings. This successful business was later sold in 2014 and became the preferred caterer on The Telethon Speech and hearing Centre opposite Lake Monger in Wembley. Corporate functions, Cocktail parties and High Teas remain as a significant service provided through Function Concepts.Twenty years later, still loving what we do and with a solid reputation for high quality, delicious and beautifully presented food with a passion for service firmly established, Function Concepts is now a favourite provider of catering services in Perth.
