Sugar Plum Fairy Cakes

Hi, I'm Courtney! I am the self taught baker behind Sugar Plum Fairy Cakes. Usually it's just me in the kitchen but occasionally I am joined by my uber talented mum, Karen, and my husband, Lionel (a.k.a. dishpig and deliveryman extraordinaire). I have two young children and a dog named Boogie. Although baking makes me happy, my first love is singing and musical theatre. Sugar Plum Fairy Cakes started out as a hobby and has slowly turned into a labour of love. When I was young, my mum used to call me "sugar plum fairy", which is how I came to the name for this little business. Mum is my inspiration and I owe most of my culinary ability (and determination) to her. I get excited when learning new techniques and turning my love for food, nature, and art into something that brings a smile to peoples' faces.
