I’ve always loved parties! My sister and I have our birthdays exactly a week apart, we would have birthday season when we would make hats, party favours, decorations, pass the parcel and most importantly plan the cake! Like many children growing up in the 70’s & 80’s we spent hours pouring over the Australian Women’s Weekly Birthday Cake Book. We shared a book with our cousins, whose birthdays finished months before ours. As soon as they had finished, it was our turn. We studied each page ever so intently, we would work out which cake had the most lollies, which one was the biggest, which fitted our current interests, personality or vision for our next big day. There were some cakes that were vetoed by our mother whose task it was to bring these dreams to life. The book ignited our imagination, it encouraged us to plan and made our birthdays last so much longer than just one day. So much joy came from the dreaming and the anticipation. This is what inspired my vision for The Party Cupboard. We want it to bring hours of entertainment as children pour through our Pinterest boards and anticipate what their next birthday might be like. We also want to make it easier for those who are tasked with bringing these plans to life. We want you to be able to find everything you need in one place, from plates to party favours, balloons to bags; convenience that makes the perfect day possible. Our wish is simple; that you enjoy parties and planning as much as we do....
