Weeding Hire was, until recent years, known as Weeding Party Hire. Started in 1985 in Tasmania, by Alan and Helene Weeding supplying party goods and pole marquees for events back when ‘party’ covered just about all occasions.As clearspan marquees become available with companies like Hoecker, we built strong relationships in business and community event circles with a dedication to asking the right questions to give everything the very best chance of going right on event day.Helene and Alan’s son, James joined the business as he reached working age, but forged ahead working interstate in the hire industry and earning his degree prior to returning to Tasmania to prepare for leadership of the business.In 2018, Weeding Hire acquired Tassie Instant Marquees and managed a smooth transition of their clients into their structure as well as honouring their existing sponsorships.The family company is led by Alan and James Weeding who usually do most of the technical plan and on-site structure consultations. Nicole Gossage is Manager who ensures the brief is well planned, rostered and delivered.Supported by our team including roles in client and office assistance, equipment quality and cleaning, two full-time operational supervisors and our setup and packdown crews.
