Philippa Galasso

Philippa Galasso is a distinguished Sydney-based couture house, founded in 2012 by designer Philippa Galasso. With Italian heritage and a family history steeped in fashion—her grandfather a tailor and her mother a textile technology teacher—Philippa’s path in the fashion world was destined. She honed her skills at Sydney’s renowned Fashion Design Studio in Ultimo, graduating with an Advanced Diploma in 2007.

Philippa’s career flourished internationally, beginning with her time in Paris, where she launched her evening couture brand to critical acclaim. Her designs graced the red carpets of Australian and French entertainment industries, debuting her first collection, Couture 1, at the prestigious Festival de Cannes in 2012. Her work gained further recognition in ELLE Paris magazine.

Returning to Sydney, Philippa expanded her brand to New York, where she debuted her Spring/Summer 2014 Couture 2 Collection at New York Fashion Week in 2013. She went on to showcase her work at NYFW for three consecutive seasons.

Philippa Galasso’s gowns have become a favorite among A-list celebrities for high-profile events, including the Oscars, American Music Awards, and TV Week Logies. Renowned clients include Delta Goodrem, Sophie Monk, Emma Booth, and Dami Im.

Known for her intricate designs, Philippa’s gowns feature highly detailed and textured elements, blending traditional hand-beading and embroidery techniques with modern aesthetics. These exquisite creations are crafted by skilled artisans both locally and internationally, ensuring exceptional quality and artistry in every garment.
