Zoë is a highly acclaimed cake artist and designer, known for her elegant, fashion-inspired creations and innovative approach to sugarcraft. Her passion for food and design began in childhood, baking alongside her mother and working on creative projects. Although she initially pursued a degree in foreign languages at Bath University, her love for culinary arts led her to train in cookery and patisserie while working in some of Australia’s top restaurants.
Upon returning to the UK in 2006, Zoë immersed herself in the world of cake decorating, training extensively and working in London’s finest bakeries before establishing her own business. Her signature style, influenced by intricate fabrics and textures, quickly gained recognition, with her cakes frequently featured in international bridal and sugarcraft publications. In 2011, she designed an exclusive range of wedding and celebration cakes for Fortnum & Mason and was commissioned to create a cake for Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Beyond her bespoke cake designs, Zoë is also a dedicated educator. She shares her expertise through hands-on classes, online tutorials, and workshops at global cake shows and culinary schools. Her bestselling books, including Chic and Unique Vintage Cakes and Elegant Lace Cakes, provide detailed step-by-step guidance for aspiring cake artists.
Since relocating to Australia’s Sunshine Coast in 2017, Zoë has continued to make an impact in the industry, earning prestigious awards such as ACADA Australasian Haute Couture Wedding Cake Designer 2019 and ABIA Queensland’s Wedding Cake Designer 2020. With a commitment to craftsmanship and innovation, she remains a leading figure in the world of edible art, inspiring bakers and designers worldwide.
